Terms and Conditions - Timelapse Footage Usage The photographs and timelapse videos purchased on this site are royalty-free. You can use the timelapse footage as many times as you want ONLY in one video project. If you would like to re-use the footage in another video, there will be a small additional processing fee per additional video. The timelapse videos on this site have non-exclusive rights (i.e: The Common Shutter.com reserves the right to sell any non-exclusive timelapse footage to anyone at anytime. Your competitor is also allowed to purchase a timelapse video footage that you have used in your project). Ownership of, and intellectual rights to the timelapse video footage shall remain the sole property of The Common Shutter.com, all rights reserved. If you would like to buy a timelapse footage with exclusive rights, please contact us here. Once a timelapse video clip is sold, The Common Shutter.com shall not be responsible for any liabilities (special, indirect, consequential, damages, loss of business, loss of information). You cannot sell the timelapse video clip itself in its entirety or in parts; it must be embedded into your video project that you will sell. (i.e: If you buy a video from The Common Shutter.com, you cannot sell the video by itself or in parts, it has to be used in a larger project to be elligible for commercial distribution). The Common Shutter.com will not be responsible for any kind of damage caused, software failures, loss of business, loss of profits or hardware damage. You agree that by purchasing a timelapse video from The Common Shutter.com, you are entirely responsible and are using the video at your own risk. Where does your money go? The money collected through The Common Shutter is used to fund our own equipment and misc expenses. Furthermore, 30% of most timelapse videos sold via The Common Shutter is donnated to an orphanage home in Nepal, namely Papa's House, Volunteer Nepal's Orphanage. The money is given to them as a donnation to help Papa's House and the kids at the orphanage, in a hope to help them live a better life. Thank you for your purchase and your support To buy a timelapse video, you will need to register for an account first. After registration, you will be sent an email confirming your account info. Once you log in, you can use the site's shopping cart to add your videos and then you proceed to pay with your paypal account. You will need a paypal account to purchase videos/photographs. When you buy a timelapse video, you will get both the video file and the JPEG frames. We understand that you / your team may be using diferent operating systems or video editing programs and that the xvid-encoded video files might not work perfectly on some systems, so we are also providing the JPEG files for you to use. They are automatically added to your account and can be downloaded from your account as well. Please note however that we cannot guarantee your purchased products will be always available on the online site 7 days after the date of purchase. We will give you ample time to download your products (at least 7 days). They may be removed or kept after 7 days. However should you need them again, feel free to contact us. Those JPEG files are in the following formats: Once purchased, the item(s) will be added to your account. Once you have logged on, you will see the download links available for you to download. Please note that we do not ship DVDs, everything purchased through The Common Shutter is delivered through a download link that will be available for 7 days after purchasing a product.. Please note: How is it encoded? All videos for sale on The Common Shutter.com are encoded using the xvid codec, which is freely available for download. If you cannot use the xvid codec for any reason, you will have access to the JPEG files. If you would like to have it in an uncompressed AVI format, please let us know and we shall make special arrangements (i.e private download link) and pelase note there will be an additional charge to upload the uncompressed AVI file. What do I get? When you purchase a timelapse video, you will have, included in the same price: 1. 480p video in xvid format Yes, we give you a lot of choices, we do not want to limit our customers by giving them only one format/size. We understand that your project may be used for distribution on a DVD, HD download or Bluray so we are giving away all 3 video sizes for free. Please note: Custom Timelapse? Normally we do not do custom timelapse, but if you would like to have a timelapse of something specific, please let us know if it is feasible in our region (make a timelapse of the Toronto Harbour etc), we may make one for you, at a special price. What about the free ones? In our free section, we are giving you free timelapse footage that you can use in any non-commercial projects that you want. This may include online video blogs, personal work, school presentations, personal demo/showreel, any non-profit and non-charity work. The timelapse videos in the free section come as is and may not contain all video formats. They may or may not be watermarked. The free timelapse videos may not be sold commercially.
